Black was where i found solace
as midnight calmed my imaginations pace,
Luminous as i wished my thoughts to be
ash entangles me in its periphery
silver bolts of lightening tried to break the white rapture
but the naked frail brown
fails to bear the lucid crystals of chaos.
Rings of ash around me needed to be cleansed away
but sand in the glass bottle keeps dripping away
too fast to erase the grey.
Etched on the tree where the snake lay
on the brown bark your face remains still,
Your feathers can not bear my weight
for the black of my past still clings onto my feet.
Now the green has withered away
leaving behind crumbles for August
and fall refuses to blow it away
it refuses to make way for May.
