As the moon light fades to day
Behind the curtains you see her face
Her eyes aren’t dry you wonder why, Why she keeps hiding away
You try to find her inner side as you pass her window by
With your head held high each day even at night.
But all you see is her broken smile as she sits by her window side,
In her face you see nothing but paper kites, tied down
Unable to fly
You wish you could free her inner child
Save her from her demise
You wish she would give you a chance let you in for once
For those paper kites need the free skies as you need her by your side.
You’re bent to help her
Emancipate her soul
Sprout wings and seek her goal.
Even though you were meant to save her, there’s no saving her
For she’s resigned to her fate
And you’re resigned to yours.

You wish she would give you a chance let you in for once
